Sorry All

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on what is going on in my life and why I have missed Tutorial Tuesday yet again! I am hoping to make it up here soon.

I was at work yesterday morning and and I lifted the tea container to put on the counter and pulled my back muscules. I waited a little bit so I could walk. I then went to the emergency room after another manager got there. I have been put on light duty and no sitting, standing, or driving for more than 30 minutes. I have to lay down after that. I slept most of yeasterday away after I finally got home. I slept in this morning and stayed awake for about an hour before I fell asleep again and have been on and off all day. I am feeling a little better than I did yesterday and after my first nap yesterday. So that is good.

The medication that I am on basically puts me to sleep. My boss wanted me to come back to work at 3am tomorrow and still work a 10 hours shift... lol not going to happen.

I tried cleaning up my room a little bit, a I think I started to over do it. I had to sit down and relax... I didn't get to finish it. :(

As I am sitting here it typing this post I am starting to feel  a little weak so I think its time to say good bye.

Until Next Time. =]

I am hoping to be able to get a tutorial posted for tomorrow! We will see how I feel in the morning before my Drs Appointment.

Friendship

I have a friend that is far away and is going through a rough time! I wish that I wa able to be there for him and help him through all of this, like he was there for me. I am besides myself that I can not be there for him! So I made him a friendship card to let him know that I am there in spirit with him and that I can't wait for him to get home so I can spend sometime with him and help him figure things about!

Anyways the corners of the card arn't the greatest I decided to round them after I placed my paper down. I did not have time to fix this before I had to send it out so he can get it before he came home for a couple of weeks. I am super excited for him to be home and to be able to be the half the friend he was for me when I was going though all my stuff!

This is the front of the card. As you can see the blue is a little cut off because I decided to round my corners. I really wish tht I would have had time to fix the corners. The stamp is Tim Holtz I dont remember which stamp set its from. Sorry all!!!
Here is the inside of the card (before I wrote down the whole story in the card of course!) hahahah It is also another Tim Holtz stamp that I dont remember the name of the set. I can look at them later if anyone wants to know. :)

It says listen to your heart which is really the best advice I can give him!

Well its time for dinner so I should let all go! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did!!

Until Next Time! ^_^

Happy Birthday

One of my very best friends is having a Birthday tomorrow! I am so excited! She is an amazing friend a great worker, and a wonderful mom. She is one of my fellow managers at work. I love working with her!

**Edit** So while I was showing off her Birthday Card my guy spilled his drink on the card so I had to make another one and that is why there is two cards on the page, and not just one. The first one was the original. The second one is the revised better one!

Anyways after working with her a couple of times I found out she is as happy and hyper as I am. But that is not the best part, she also scrapbooks as well. It was a match made in heaven!
As we have worked together we have become closer. I am so glad that we have became friends. She was the person that I was making the Tri Shutter card in my TUTORIAL. With out further ado here is the finished product of that tutorial:
This one its the first one <
This is the second one! >
Not very much different but a lot better!
I can't seem to upload the picture of the front of the card. :(
I had an amazing time making it.

The rest of her gifts included:

The coffee mug is a running joke between us is that when she first started working with me she hated the taste of coffee but she needed a ton of sugar, cream and flavoring. When I found this mug I knew it was perfect for her!

I also got her some scrapping supplies! I am excited to see how she will use these. I am not sure if she has anything like these so it will be a nice suprise if she hasn't!!!

I had a blast getting everything ready to give her!
I am so excited that I get to share her Birthday with her.

This is Ashley, The Birthday Girl, and Me!!! We all had an amazing time last night! I can't wait to do it again!!!!
Until Next Time! ;)

Awesome Haul & Plans

I was able to do a little bit of shopping in!!! I haven't really been able to find any deals lately and have been kind of discouraged about shopping and just scrapping in general!!!! I just went to get some heat bond so I could finish my tutorial for today. I ended up staying out and spending more that what I had planned but it was all worth it!

I will be posting a Tutorial tomorrow! I will be finishing it tonight. I am excited to share with you all because they are gifts for some of my fellow co workers! I also found some little gifts to put in there gift bags as well. I will have a post on the gift bags soon. I finished there cards the other night. I am excited to share there gifts with them.  I love making items for others.

I also got some awesome deals on some clearance Tim Holtz stamps... I also got some that where BOGO 50% off! I am excited to try those out! I have been racking my brain on a project that I can use them on.

I finished most of my Crafty BFF birthday shopping, all I have left to do is get her gift card. We are all going out to dinner on Friday night and drinks afterwards! I am so excited! I can not wait. It will be good to get out and hang out with friends. I haven't been able to do that in a while with taking on the new position at work. Oh and speaking of that I start another set of classes this week.

I am gald I was able to have my binge shopping trip tonight it helped my mood and over all spirit!!! I am ready to start crafting again and spending almost every night in my craft room!

Speaking of that as well, I should head up and start to work on my tutorial!
I will have it up for guys tomorrow! I am working a few different ones.

Unitl Next Time! =]

Oh and I have been looking for Viva Decor Pearl Pens for one of my tutorials and I called all my local stores to see if they had any and they all said no! BUT tonight while I was looking for a subsitute for it I found them at a store! And to make the deal even better the cream rang up only a buck! I will be heading back tomorrow to buy the rest of the cream colors up! :) SO SO SO
EXCITED

Tutorial Tuesday- Gift Card Holders

Happy Tuesday All!!!!

As I sit here and type this I realize that today is exactly 2 months and one day until my Birthday! YAY! Don't worry I know I will probably keep reminding everyone. When it gets down to about 3 weeks I start my count down days! hahahah I get so excited!

Anyways back to why you all are here today. Today I will be making gift card holders. If you hadn't guessed it will go to my crafty BFF for her birthday in about a week. :) I am excited for her birthday as well. :)

What you will need:
A piece of Cardstock: 6 3/8inch X 4 1/4inch
Adhesive
MS Scoreboard
Circle Punch
Embellishments

These are very very simple to make.

Step one:
Take your cardstock and on the 6 3/8 inch side you will score at 2 1/8 and 4 5/8.

Step Two:
You are going to fold at your scores. At this point you will deicide if you want to have the bigger flap on the outside or the inside.
This is what each would look like.

Outside:                                                              Inside:

Step Three:
You then apply your adhesive to the right and left side of the decided flap.

Before I did this I used a circle punch and made a half circle punch in about the middle of the flap so the gift card would be easier to take out. You do not have to do this.

Step Four:
Embellish to your hearts content. What I did here is I took my double sided paper and cut off a strip as long as my original size. I then flipped it over so it would be the opposite side of the outside pattern and wrapped my card holder like I would a ribbon. I then took a scalloped circle and placed it in the middle of the top flap. Here is my finish product:
When you are done embellishing then you take some removable adhesive and place it on the flap so it will stay closed. I used Glue Dots. I placed mine in the center, You can also place them at the top and bottom of the flap if you want it to stand up right.

Here are some examples of my finished projects.

Until Next Time :)

SMASHing

I am so excited!!! Today while I was out and about to get my pictures printed so I can start working on LOs I stopped at Michaels. I was planning on getting a SMASH book for the left over pictures. Instead of just putting then in a photo album (which is so boring), I  plan to put them in the smash book with a few decorations. :)

I wasn't really planning on buying anything today just wanted to shop around. They had the books on sale for 9.99 and I had a 50% off coupon so I decided to go ahead and start my collection! hahahha

I bought the black book. I got the pink pen and a few of the pads as well. I am so excited to start this. I have a feeling that this will be a new addiction that I really dont need. lol

Here is all that I bought!

Sorry for it being the wrong way. :( I changed it but it wont let me upload the changed ones. I don't think that blogger likes my pictures anymore!

Anyways if you remember in my Secret Sister post she sent me some SMASH items as well. Here is everything including what she had sent me. I realized that I now have two of the red pad! Oh well now I don't have to worry about not having the one that I want. hahahah

In other news: I have decided to become a Stampin' Up! rep. My papers to sign and send in should be here by the end of the week. By the end of the month I should be a rep if all goes as planned. Of course there will be some changes around here but don't worry I will not be going any where and I will still be doing all my tutorials and what not.

Until Next Time!

Layouts

As you might have noticed, I have never posted a scrapbooking Layout on here. This is because I have not completed a LO in almost 4 years. :( I was really behind when I was with my ex. I lost my MoJo for about two years. Most of my stuff just sat around. Then my world got turned upside down. After moving all my stuff, I got my MoJo back and it has been back in full force for a while now.

But.....

When it returned it came in the form of cards and embellishments and things like that. I still have not created a LO. After my world changed it made me completely caught up. hahaha Well it is now almost two years later and I am now almost two years behind again! hahaha
I still haven't had the MoJo to create one.

I think that now I am starting to get my MoJo for LOs back. Tonight I have this urge to create a LO, the only thing is that I have no pictures to create one. :(

I can see a trip to print out pictures very soon so I will be able to do a LO at any time if I get the urge again....

I don't really have much to do for LO the Beau and I don't get out too much. Although I do have a bit to do to catch up on.

I think I will also be started to share my older LO so everyone can see my first LO to my latest. (When I start making them again.) That way everyone one can see how much I have evolved over the years as I have scrapbooked.

Until Next Time. :)  (Maybe with a new LO)

Blog hop

Today I also hopped along with an amazing blog hop.

3girljam.blogspot.com

They were featuring there new red whit and blue ribbon. It was an amazing hop! All the design team ladies did a wonderful job. They all did a fantastic job thinking outside of the box and they have my head twirling with new ideas! So much so that I am thinking of getting some of the red white and blue ribbon to try out some of there wonderful ideas that I would have never thought of on my own.

Thank you so much ladies! It was such a great time!

Until next time. ;)

Great time!

I had a great time yesterday. I took my BFF to the store that sells Cardstock by the pound! She fell in love with it. I knew she would. I didn't pick up much. Just some cardstock. I stocked up on my white since I have been using it a lot lately. I got about 75 sheets, for about 4 dollars! I seriously love this store.

I havent created anything with my paper yet. But I am hoping to get sometime in my scrap room tonight and just let the creative juices flow. Thats way I am hoping for! I can't wait for scrap time.

Until Next Time

Tutorial Tuesday- Waterfall Mini

Back again with Tutorial Tuesday! This week we are doing Waterfall Mini Albums.

You will need:
MS Scoreboard
Tape Runner or Glue
Two sheets of 4 1/2" X 4"** cardstock*
One sheet of 4" X 4" cardstock
One sheet of atleast 4" X 6" cardstock (This will be your base***)
Any Embellishments

*The number of sheets you want will depend on how many flaps you want in your mini. For this one I just used 3 flaps for the red, white, and blue theme.
**The size can also change to any size you want it. Just remember that you will always need one that is a 1/2 an inch smaller than the rest. Ex: You wanted a 6 inch Mini with 4 flaps. You would need 3 sheets that are 6 1/5" X 6" and one at 6" X 6". Your base then changes too.
*** For your base it doesn't have to be as wide as your mini but in the ones that I have done I found it best to make it as wide. But if you change the number of flaps you have you will need to change the height. I always make it bigger than needed just in case. Remember you will always need it at least the height of your smallest piece of paper and add a 1/2 an inch for ever flap.

Step One:
You are going to score your bigger pieces on the longer side at 1/2 an inch. (So when folded they will be the same size as your smallest piece.

Step Two:
Take your base and glue down your smallest square to the bottom of the base so it is even with it.

Step Three:
Then you take your folded pieces and you tape or glue the folded part and you will place that at the top of your smallest piece on the base.

Step Four:
You repeat step three with the rest of your pieces. You keep adding them to the top of the base. When you are done it will look like this.

Step Five:
Embellish. For this project I just added paper for now. I am not sure what it will be used for yet so I haven't added anything extra. Here is my finished project:

If you have any questions feel free to ask! I will be more than happy to answer them the best way possible. As always share your own creations! I would love to see them! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did making it!

Until Next Time =]

PS: Apparently Blogger doesn't like my pictures for this tutorial... :( I am going to make another one some time this week and try to post those pictures. I hope that you guys can still figure out how to make this without my pictures. The only one that was able to post was the finished product. If you have any questions let me know and I will answer them for you. I hope I explained everything well enough that you all dont need pictures. I know that some still need pictures. So after my shopping trip with my bestie today I will try to make another one to post for you guys. I should atleast have one done by the end of the week for you all! I will repost it to the top so you all can see it and wont have to look though the other posts.

Weekend shopping

I did a little shopping this weekend. I got a couple of things for a project that I will be sharing  sometime this week. I can't wait to share. Its a new way to store TH Distress Inks!!! Best of all it will be portable and I can take it with me when I go to crops or scrapbooking get togethers. (Which I can't wait for).

I bought my first Tim Holtz stamp set. I am excited to use to. I got the one with the Journey saying in it. I dont have it buy me to say the name. When I edit this post to put the picture up  of my shopping finds. Its a little late now. hahahah. They were half off!!! I hope that it won't be a new addiction, lol. I also got more Dew drops. Trying to finish my collection. I am almost done. I am sure that when I do finish the collection I will find something else that I will find something else that I need and have to have.

It never fails, once I finish one thing something else has to take its place. Does this happen to anyone else?

Ok off to bed now. I will share my project with you guys later hopefully tomorrow if not by Thursday. And I will be editing my post tomorrow to post pictures of my new stamps and dew drops.

Until Next Time! ^_^

Stampin' Up?

Hey there all! I hope you had a great first day of June!

Mine was full of work and thinking. Yea yea, I know you all smelled it! lol

Anyways I was thinking about being a Stampin' Up rep. What do you all think? Do you use Stampin' Up? Would you buy from me?

Is anyone a Rep, and can give me details? I work a lot and spend my little time off working on this blog and trying to scrap. I don't know if this is something that I would want to do or not. I am trying to see all the pros and cons. Just trying figure out some things. Does any one know if you have a minimum you have to sell per month/year that type of thing.

If anyone can give me details that would be great.

Thanks

Until Next Time :)
