Today was the big day with surprise dinner. It went over really well! He was really surprised. It was a GREAT day! Here is a picture of the finished cake! Homemade German Chocolate Cake! :) I love to make it. It tastes so good!
Anyways back to the title, when I was getting ready to go to the dinner and I was looking for my camera. It is no where to be found. :( It wasn't in the last place I left it. I have searched high and low. I have went through all my stuff. I can't find it. I feel like I am going to cry.
While I was out, I was able to stop at Archivers! It was the very first one that I had ever went into! All the way back in 2007!! I haven't been in that one since that date. It was good to go back to that one. It is a lot bigger than the one by me now. I got a few dew drops. I got a couple special sheets of Birthday paper because a special manager at work is having a birthday next month and I want to start on it now so it will be ready.
As I was checking out and the new Tim Holtz distress inks!!! I wanted them so bad but I didn't have my coupon with me. I asked the cashier if there was a coupon out and she said yes it was a 37% one. She then told me that if I wanted the inks that she would over ride it and give me the coupon without having it. :) I was so excited! I saved $7.00!!!!!
Then while I was at Target I just happened to be walking down the isle and what do I see on an end cap. 9 rolls of washi tape for $6.99!!! Amazing! My washi tape collections is slowly growing. :)
They aren't in the package anymore because I used some on my dads gift bag. I didn't have time to take a picture of them in the package but they did come on that roll. I think they were in the kids craft stuff. I think they are called Kids Paper Tape or something like that. SOrry I was in such a big hurry and was trying to find my camera I forgot and then when I got home the package was already thrown out. I will have to look next time I go to Target and let you all know! I am surprised that Kory over there at http://scrapiverse.blogspot.com/ has not found these and posted about them! I know how much he loves his washi tape!
Oh and while I was taking the pictures of my wonderful savings I had a visitor. He had to sniff everything I laid out. I was surprised that I was able to get pictures of the items without him in them! When I went to get his picture he looked away and I couldn't get him to look at me. hahaha It figures.
(sorry the pictures aren't that great, they are from my phone!)
Until Next Time :)

Changes all around.
To celebrate the new URL I have changed the layout. I know I seem to change it a lot but I think I am finally really happy with this one. Its bright like me! :) It also has crowns in it. Its more clean and not as cluttered. I am able control a little more of this one as well. I am super excited about all the changes that have been happening and I am hoping that I will be able to share the rest soon. As soon as everything is complete you all will be the first to know! I promise! :)
In other news I am already working on next weeks tutorial Tuesday. :) I am excited.
I am also working on a Birthday Card for my dad who is turning the big 5-0 this year. I have to have that done by Saturday when I will see him for his Birthday Dinner. Which will be at my favorite restaurant! Red Robin!!!! Yum! (It is also his by the way)
I guess I better get to work on that! I also have to make a homemade German Chocolate cake for him. Its just tradition and I can't break that on his 50th birthday! I love make them though. I don't make them much because the box cake just doesn't taste right when you have made them homemade. I normally only make them about once a year. I make sure that the layers are made big so I have to cut some off to make them even for the cake so I can have my own little pile of leftovers. That will hold me over for a while. If I really feel in a baking mood I will make another one for the year to have all to myself. But that is rare. I normally just bake a regular yellow cake or a batch of cookies!
Well I think that is enough rambling on for tonight! I hope you all had a great day and have an even better day tomorrow! :)
Until Next Time. ^_^

Tutorial Tuesday- Side Step Cards
This is the card I made for Mothers day! I am here to show you guys how to make the Side step card. Normally I would make it a few more times before I would do a tutorial on it but these are very very simple and easy that after two cards I have it down pat already! :) Love them!
You will need:
Scoreboard
Paper 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 (Cardstock)
Embellishments
Paper Cutter
My Embellishments:
Slice Think Pink Mother Daughter image
Sew Easy
Scallop head
Rosette
Pink Buttons
Pink Floss
Pink Embossing Powder
1) You are going to take your paper you are going to line it up with the 3 inch mark. One side is going to be 3 inches the other will be 2 1/2 inches. After its lined up you will cut down the middle from the 1 inch to 6 1/2 inch.
2) After it is cut then you need to score it. You will score the 2 1/2 inch side at 4 1/4 inch. You only score til the cut line. You are only scoring the 2 1/2 inch side. Sorry the picture is a little blurry.
3) You are going to score the 3 inch side. This side you are going to score at 5 different places. You are going to score 1 inch, 2 inch, 3 1/4 inch., 4 1/2 inch, and 6 1/2 inch. You are going to do the same as you did on the other side only score to the cut line. Your paper should look like this when you are done with your scoring.
4) You then start folding. You start with the smaller side and fold. You fold the 3 inch side in a valley mountian style. You start by folding down (making a mountain). When you are done folding your card will look like this :
You are now done with the base and ready to decorate your card. When you set it down it will look like the picture below. They are so cute decorated! You can google for images on other cards. I got this idea for this card from Becky's Blog and then from there I found my tutorial that I followed from Split Coast Stampers. There tutorial is awesome! They also have a video on how to make them if you need further instructions. If you guys have any question feel free to ask and I will be more than happy to answer them for you guys!
Here is the finished card after I decorated mine. Have a Terrific Tuesday!
